Does this mean we can see some love to PvP and actually get this great arena actually alive again? C'mon. Buff the rewards, and make it more competitively stimulating. It's been like this for the better half of a month now. :\

I find it boring. Although some maps have tactics you can follow and different things to do, people just run in circles avoiding battle.

If you ask me, they should make it like in some Team Fortress maps: only a certain number of shrines can be contested each time, forcing players to meet each other in those shrines.

I used to play AB a TON back in 2007-ish. It was alive back then, alive and well. Wow. Can't believe it's so dead. Can't wait for GW 2.

Three reasons i can think off:

1: Mediocre rewards. If you want faction wait for a double points week end and hit the JQ instead.
2: The format allows other players to block you from ever playing it. Wich is a huge NO NO for me since i'm a scrub with his own homebrew builds.
3: It's just boring compared to other PVP settings.

I think the idea of rewards is a little shortsighted as people will AB for the point of playing in a strategic manner with groups.

Far as blocking other players from joining... this has also been at issue for getting a team together. Unless you're a monk/healer, you end up being grouped with pugs, but anyone who decides you have no place will get the upper hand in being a royal **** blocker from you getting in. As I said before, the format needs to be random join and loss of clickable posts will kill a large portion of those bot farmers who keep screwing things up.

Honestly, it's the same for codex or heroes ascent( last one not on quest day of course..)..if you consider 4v4 organized formats with a "good reward" is empty( codex), a 12v12 format with bad reward won't really be active...

Elitism of pve players killed it. (just a couple months before it died I couldn't find a team due to fact I dont have high kurz/lux rank).

HA, CA and AB all have something in common... they are a pain in the ass because they require group formation before joining. It has nothing to do with being lazy, in fact its quite the opposite. People work and go to school for most of the day. When they come home they have to spend time waiting around for a group, effectively wasting what little time they have to play the game.

Well, maybe because I don't have infinite time during the day(because I work for a living), and spare time in the evening(because I have children) I can't farm hero points/kur-kux faction like some people.

That sounds like you just got a couple of retards. Last time I did AB when it was the ZC I never got asked to show any form of rank other than HA or RA a couple of times. Elitism is not the reason AB is dead, not even being close to a reason.

Any person with decent intelligence knows kurz/lux rank proves nothing in pvp.

Oh without a doubt, it's not big reason, but it helps. And yeah it is possible I just end up with all the trash...

I have to agree that the biggest one is crap rewards. They should come up with item rewards exclusive to it. Also the team fortress bit. All I used to see was mobs chasing people down and the team going "avoid mobs", and it would be this horrible Scobby-Doo bit where we're chasing eatchother through doors.
